 Badger Honor Flight Welcome Home Reception
Saturday, October 13, 2018. 7pm to 10pm. Welcome home veterans returning home from a day in Washington, D.C. viewing the military memorials in the nation's capital built in their honor. Join us in greeting our vets as they come down the escalator in the airport to a cheering crowd welcoming them home.  Our Ancestors Were German
Thursday, October 18, 2018. 6:30pm. Join us as we welcome Astrid Adler author of Our Ancestors were German for a discussion of her book and the emigration of our German ancestors. During the 19th century, nearly six million Germans left their homes for other countries; most would never see Germany again. Adler will discuss the reasons for their emigration and share stories of their emigration told through archival records such as passenger lists, census data, family letters, church records, and family trees.  Trip to the SC Johnson Headquarters in Racine
Friday, October 26, 2018. 8:45 am. The trip to the SC Johnson Headquarters includes a tour of the administration building, the research tower, and Fortaleza Hall, all of which were built in 1939 by Frank Lloyd Wright. The film To Be Alive will be shown in the Rondelle Theater. Lunch is on your own at the Reef Point Brew House. Everyone comes to share experiences, talk about their own struggles and actions, and offer personal experience and understanding. This group has been wonderful for new members over the past year.
