Sunday, May 6, 2018 through Sunday, December 30, 2018. Sundays from 1:00 - 4:00. The Sterling North home, located at 409 West Rollin Street in Edgerton is open Sundays from April through December. Sterling North wrote over thirty books, the most famous being an autobiographical account of his adventures with his pet raccoon Rascal. He also wrote So Dear to My Heart and The Wolfling. The home which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. has been restored to the way it looked in 1917. Please visit our website. $3 for students and $5 for adults.  Gallery Talk: Far Out! Rebellion and Revolution in Art from the 1960s
Thursday, August 2, 2018. 1-1:45 pm. Far Out: Art from the 1960s explores art from a decade that introduced such movements as Pop, Minimalism, and Conceptual Art, while weaving in the social and historical narrative of that time. Melanie Herzog will lead a free gallery talk delving into this exhibition. Melanie Herzog is professor at Edgewood College where she teaches a range of art history courses addressing gender, race and ethnicity, and socially engaged art and artists. Thursday, August 2, 2018. 1-1:45 pm. Professor Melanie Herzog will discuss Far Out. Inspired by the rebellious ethos of the modernist avant-garde as well as the "question everything" spirit of the '60s, artists transformed aesthetics, styles and subject, and assumptions about the primacy of the art object and art's place in society. Melanie Herzog is a professor at Edgewood College where she teaches a art history courses reflecting gender, race and ethnicity, and socially engaged art and artists, among other subjects.  A Night at the Museum

 MMoCA Opening: Joel Shapiro: The Bronzes
Saturday, September 22, 2018. 6-9 pm. Join us at MMoCA on Friday, September 22 for an opening celebration of Joel Shapiro: The Bronzes. Organized by MMoCA, this exhibition will survey Shapiro's bronze sculptures from 1983 to 2015. One of the most influential sculptors working today, this evening presents a special opportunity to hear the artist discuss his work with a lecture at 7 pm (seating capacity is limited).
