 Sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald
Wednesday, September 11, 2019. 1:30 pm. Rachel Pennington delves into the theories of dive detectives regarding the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald and her 29-man crew on November 10, 1975. Winds peaked at nearly 100 mph and waves reached the height of three-story buildings. Birthday cake and ice cream follow the presentation in the basement clubroom of the Glendale Senior Citizen Club.  Summer Concert at Jacobs House

As part of the summer concert series at homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, there will be a concert at the Jacobs House featuring Dawn Lawler on flute and Mary Ann Harr playing the harp. Guests will receive a tour from Susan Jacobs Lockhart, who lived in the home as a young girl. All proceeds from this event will go toward the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. This temporary exhibit will highlight businesses and events from the 150 years of Slinger, complementing the Village of Slingers' celebrations.
